the weather here in Texas is a whole story of it's own. It can go from one extreme to the other. Either you have no rain for months or vise versa and this winter the rain has settle in it seems like. Sure it's been cold by our standards, but no snow. Rarely does it snow around the coast. The northern part can have our share. I want to see the sun again! It's just plain crappy outside.
Since the decorations are down, I didn't say they were put in their rightful place. I'm getting in the mood to do some creative painting. There are some birds calling me to paint them, my way. My problem is time slips away to fast, plus I lost my room that I would paint in (one of these days I have it back) and that will get you out of the mood. Anyway I decided to do the best I can - the breakfast area.
Well time is slipping from me -
Time
it will take you over to it's corner
make you wonder how did this happen-
what did I do, where did it go and why
did it leave so fast?
it's sneaky and sometimes it can be
creepy how it comes to take you over
be careful very careful, look over your
shoulder and around every corner for time
is coming and passing you by too fast

new year
Resolutions. None.
Hopefully I will do better on this site, even if it's just a one liner.
Glad 2012 is outa of here, it was a busy one for me. Doctor appointments for me and making sure Mom was on time for hers also. Allene and I had our annual trip in April this time to Louisiana Avery Island a great time. Gotten lost a few times but that the best part saw parts of the state we would not have seen. And we ate our way through it too we had our fill of cajun food. From turtle soup to boudain made my ancestors proud. Speaking of ancestors Mom and Libby (cousin from Vidor, TX) went on cemetery hunt of Pevetos' and Fredericks, etc. and found much to our surprise names that had been told to me & Libby for all our lives. There were 3 Tojan's, are you ready for this? There was Red Tojan, Black Tojan and Little Tojan - wouldn't the kicker be on the tombstones red, black & little! Also found Jean Baptiste Peveto stone too. I love crap like this.
Our new antler chandlers, not the best photo but they are pretty, our Christmas gift to ourselves. Got rid of that awlful color in the background too, now a dark teal.
In October Bill & I headed out to Canyon Lake, TX for the annual sibling vacation. This is where we take a week to be with his sisters and the in-laws; next year we'll head back to the hill country again. We went back to Fredericksburg, TX for the annual Christmas home show and made the RockBox theater Christmas show a must see.
Had our annual Christmas get to gather with friends and neighbors as always a success. New Years day was fun, Allene and Kirk Smith spent the day with us and it was worth cooking for 2 days.
This year Kirk & I will be taking sculpting classes starting this January and we're doing a few cooking lessons too. So it's starting off busy. Now to start taking down Christmas.
Happy 2013 New Year
